Amedeo G. Cavalchini
Amedeo Guidobono Cavalchini, Architect, lives and works in Milan.
His activity got started from a long collaboration with Paolo Rizzatto. In 1998 he won the Tiziana Mascheroni award in Young and Design contest. In 2000 he opened his Architecture and Design studio onshore of Naviglio Grande nearby Milan and realized several projects of indoor renovation, paying attention to fitting and lighting. Since 2005 he has made some important architectural projects and numerous fittings and planning of shops and indoors in Italy and abroad (Bratislava, New York, Copenhagen, Paris, Moscow, Stockholm). He has projected and realized the entrance of Teatro della Luna of Assago-Milano (published on Domus, march 2007) and also the master plan around Forum of Assago for Cabassi Group. He is specialized in retail and museum projects, being for several years the exhibition design managing director for Luceplan, designing many products for them. He won the Menzione d’Onore on the occasion of the 23rd edition of Compasso d’Oro for the category Exhibition Design with the set-up “Gino Sarfatti, light design” at Triennale of Milan.
Lighting Design professor at NABA (New Academy of Belle Arti) of Milan, and design professor at IED (European Institute of Design) where he teaches design and follows product design graduation thesis.
