Brian Rasmussen

Brian Rasmussen was born in Ringsted (Denmark) in 1973. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Architecture in Copenhagen in 2000. In the first year of his studies, he won the national competition “PRISOPGAVE KØBENHAVN” (Denmark) with the futuristic design of a metro station. In 2002 he won the second prize of the national competition “CRISTIANO D. IV ́S BRYGHUS” and decided to open his own architecture and design studio in Venice. In 2004 he won the international art competition “TARGETTI LIGHT ART AWARD” which became a starting point for his career as a lighting designer. Between 2004 and 2006 he designed and developed a lamppost for the city of Ringsted, Denmark, in collaboration with Louis Poulsen Lighting.
